International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking Health Symposium

Theme: The Evidence is Clear; Invest in Prevention. Break the Cycle

On July 17, 2026, ONLYhealing wellness partnered with the Association of Resident Doctors and the House Officers Forum at Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH) for their Health Symposium, held in commemoration of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. The theme was “The Evidence is Clear; Invest in Prevention. Break the Cycle.”

Our team contributed to a multidisciplinary panel discussion on substance use disorders, evidence-based prevention, early intervention, and compassionate, stigma-free care. The symposium underscored the significance of mental health initiatives and practical strategies for building resilience among young people. We focused on identifying individuals at risk, recognizing early warning signs of drug abuse, and improving access to quality mental healthcare.

At ONLYhealing Wellness, this engagement reflects our unwavering commitment to promoting psychological well-being through education, early intervention, and strategic collaborations. We remain dedicated to advancing conversations that inspire hope, empower communities, and restore lives.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the organizers, speakers, healthcare professionals, volunteers, and other partners. Your collaboration strengthens our shared goal of prevention, recovery, and healthier communities. Together, we make a meaningful difference.
